Christine Mohan has 20+ years of experience with media firms and technology startups in New York City, Boston and Washington DC. She spent 12 years at The New York Times Company and The Wall Street Journal in corporate communications, product marketing and web operations roles. Christine is Co-founder of Civil, a decentralized platform for sustainable journalism, built using blockchain and cryptoeconomics. She recently spoke at the Internet of Things in Malmo Sweden, RightsCon 2018 and Hacks/Hackers Montreal, and is an advocate for diversity in the blockchain community.
Earlier, Christine oversaw the digital and sales teams for DeSales Media Group, where she created and launched a network of 100 websites. She also founded Mohan Media Inc., providing PR and marketing for consumer and media brands including Tiffany & Co., WordPress.com and Business Insider, as well as a number of tech startups. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross.
