Head of Partnerships at Bitfury

Connect with Yuriy

After starting his career working in Canada's TD Bank and Scotiabank as a software engineer, in 2009 Yuriy joined what was back then a tiny tech startup called Kik as its very first employee. Over the following years, Kik became one of the most used mobile messenger apps in North America, reached a $1b valuation, and launched a cryptocurrency called Kin to be used by millions of its teen users. Now at Bitfury, Yuriy is driving the product roadmap and the strategic partnerships focused on bringing the emerging Lightning Network out of its early adopter stage into the mainstream and so enable the use of Bitcoin as consumer grade payment rails.
